What I'm doing

  • I'm living at home with my parents while working as a substitute teacher.
  • Searching for a full time position.
  • Thinking about taking another actuarial exam.
  • I'm taking differential equations at a local university.

What I'm learning

  • Category theory through a variety of sources, primarily Basic Category Theory by Tom Leinster and these lectures by Bartosz Milewski.
  • Real analysis with Understanding Analysis by Stephen Abbott.
  • Statistics and machine learning with Introduction to Statistical Learning.
  • Computer science principles through the languages Python, R, Haskell, OCaml, Go, C, and Rust.

What I'm reading

  • Shape by Jordan Ellenberg, about geometry and how it relates to our lives. His book How Not to Be Wrong is one of my favorites, so I am excited for this one.

What I'm listening to

  • You Signed Up For This by Maisie Peters, an artist I just recently discovered.
